The Medical Engagement Scale is now available to NHS trusts across the UK. Orcni strongly advocates this organisational development tool as a practical way to enhance the level of medical engagement in complex change.

The Engagement Scale is already being used widely used across the NHS, testing staff opinion across three sub-scales:
  • Working in a Collaborative Climate – open and honest discussion of issues
  • Having Purpose and Direction – sense of common purpose and shared direction
  • Feeling Valued and Empowered – feeling appreciated and valued

The development of this measure was understaken by Apllied Research Ltd. Orcni is now working with Applied Research Ltd to design a product which will enhance scale scores with targeted and proven interventions helping clients to maximise opportunities to enhance engagement scale scores. The product will comprise a tool kit with face-to-face OD support.
